Ditch the Dominance. Choose Connection.

Traditional training often feels like a power struggle, teaching us to "force" a horse to listen. But honestly? Bullying is out. Mindfulness and compassion are in. We now know so much more about how a horse’s mind and body actually work. When we prioritize a horse's sense of safety and regulation, the "learning" part becomes easy and natural. I embrace these principles in every aspect of my work—from how they are managed to how we train on the ground.

The Partnership, Reimagined

For a long time, we were told that horsemanship was about dominance—that to lead a horse, we had to break their will or force compliance. I believe there is a much kinder way.

Modern science now confirms what our hearts have always suspected: horses learn best when they feel safe, not pressured. By understanding the equine brain and honoring their natural boundaries, we move away from "bullying" and toward a relationship built on mutual trust and calm.

My approach is fully holistic, looking at everything from daily care to groundwork. I’m here to help you hold a space of compassion, so you can stop "managing" your horse and start truly enjoying every moment you spend together.

All you need is a deep love for these animals and an open heart. Let’s begin there.

What I Offer

Zoe is a Johnson & Wales Equine graduate, and lifelong farm girl. Zoe has over eight years of Hunter/Jumper experience and a background in Steiner art-based education, Zoe brings a unique "artist’s eye" to equine training.

Specializing in "bomb-proofing" and young horse development, she is just as comfortable in the training ring as she is at her desk working on a commissioned pet portrait. A true animal lover at heart, Zoe is usually found with her dog Arlo, her beloved horse King, or an ink pen in hand.
