Capturing the Art; Capturing the Soul.

Every animal has a unique story, a specific "magic," and a personality that owners know by heart. My goal as an artist is to translate that essence into a timeless piece of fine art.

My artistic foundation was built through a Steiner education, where art was the lens through which I viewed the world. I was fortunate to have my talent nurtured early on by my grandmother, "YiaYia," an innate artist who taught me how to see the fine details that others might miss. Later, under the mentorship of my high school art teacher Mr. Elson, I refined my technique and began specializing in portraiture—a journey that has led me to work across watercolor, charcoal, and my preferred medium: ink.

What sets my portraits apart is the marriage of my artistic training and my professional background in equine science. Having earned my degree in Equine Business and Riding from Johnson & Wales University, I’ve spent years studying anatomy, physiology, and movement. When I sit down to draw your pet, I am not just looking at a photo; I am looking at the bone structure, the muscle tension, and the life behind the eyes.

Ink is a medium of precision and permanence. It requires patience and a steady hand—the same qualities I bring to training young, green horses. Whether I am capturing the gentle wisdom of a senior dog or the powerful grace of a horse, I use ink to create a lifelike tribute that honors the bond between you and your pet.

The Process & Mediums

While I frequently work in Watercolor and Graphite, I specialize in Ink Portrayals. Ink allows for a level of detail and contrast that truly brings a portrait to life, making it a perfect medium for capturing the intricate textures of fur, and the expressive depth of an animal's gaze.

I am accepting commissions for custom pet and equine portraits.
